Areas of Interest
Machine Learning
ML methods are impressive and statistically mind-boggling. They are a tool that can be applied to databases, whether biological, financial etc. and provide an incredible amount of insight if interpreted correctly. I have a curious mind - and machine learning, due to its, complexity satisfies that curious mind and adds statistical creativity.
Unix & HPC
Unix scripting can be incredibly useful in manipulating raw files in large numbers. Combined with high-performance computing pipelines - a lot can be analyzed, which everyday computers cannot do. This tool in the field of data analytics is a great friend that I like to have.
Visualization
Graphs are a unique and powerful asset for explaining data. It's easy for the mind to wander with words upon words. A visual appeal in data can bring a lot to the table. My knowledge in visualization is refined, and I enjoy doing it once the analysis is complete.
R Development
R is the best data analytics tool that everyone should learn. It makes statistical method implementation and producing functions easy. As someone - that has a passion for working on innovative projects, I enjoy building reproducible and reusable R code
R Shiny
Build and deploy interactive web applications for simple and engaging analysis. With R shiny web applications - your biological images can be shown in unique ways for your scientific publication - and this is a field I am very interested in mastering.
Python
Data wrangling and analysis in python is also very popular - and though it is currently my intermediate-level skill I also hope to master it. Future interests are in flask and Django web application tools for versatility because some may prefer this platform for analysis.
