About Me

Hi! My name is Syed, and Welcome to my Portfolio! I have a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and more than 2-year experience in microbiology laboratory techniques. In addition, I also have more than 1-year of experience in exploring protein structures. Given my newfound passion for data science, I went on to pursue a masters degree in bioinformatics which has taught me: R, Unix and Python. However, I would say that in the realm of data science, R is my favourite language as it is simpler to produce figures and conduct manipulations for the given data set - something its so-called rival Python does not share. In addition, statistical modelling is also easier in R, but given the type you want to do, Python can come in handy as well. However, I have trained myself to use both so not a significant problem, but it is an opinion. Finally, because these skills are transferable to other fields, I am interested in forming a career in data science. I want to live and die as a data scientist.
